I have recently purchased Altec 409c's.
Regarding enclosure types or what is recomended by others. One area that I am really questioning, this driver is completely sealed, there is no back pressure does any enclosure design have any influence?. My first guess would be Open Baffle since it was originally used that way. But I would be interested in ideas of others especially 409 users or similar types or of course other members onpinons. Is there an Ultimate enclosure?
    thanks for any replies.

I've used the 409 in 3 cubic foot bass reflex enclosures with a ducted port with great success for years...

Small error in my last question, there are small areas that are open on the back.
Todd W. White thanks for your reply,do you get reasonable bass with this enclosure? Would you be willing to elaborate of your design?
What would you think of TQWP's? I can't seem to locate just what are the ideal parameters for using this type of enclosure, anyone have information?
